Getting An Audience Onboard With Powerpoint

Imagine being on a journey, travelling to an exciting, new location. Imagine you are the tour guide and your passengers are eagerly waiting for your commentary; they want to hear the delights and attractions of each stopping place. But wait! On this journey, there's only one direction, and there's no stopping off to take in the sights of any locations you pass through. In fact, there's no reversing and no breaking off in another direction. When some people deliver a presentation, it can feel exactly like this - a one-track journey. And this sort of presentation is not one that most audiences want to revisit.

Improving Your Communication Skills For Job Applications

There is a popular, if fanciful, perception that communication between humans was born when one stereotypical caveman, clad in animal skin and with bed hair, grunted in a certain way and another caveman understood the meaning of that grunt. And from that highly unlikely origin, the following millennia brought us cave paintings, hieroglyphics, the printing press, the town crier, sign language, semaphore, the penny post, Morse code, the pony express, the telephone, radio, cinema, the fax, television, email, the Internet and the text message. Making The Most Of Filtering In Excel

In some ways, the advent of spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel was even more revolutionary than the arrival of the word processor. If we travel back in time to imagine Dickensian ledger clerks sitting on their tall stools, the nibs of their pens scratching the paper as they enter figures onto pages that lie on sloped writing desks, we think of an age as far removed from the modern day as a pea pod is from an iPod.
