Ditch The Jargon And Get To The Point With Word

Throughout history, as the printed word spread around the world, language has evolved and adapted to cater for diverse audiences; from originally conveying religious manuscripts, to tracking legal documents and recording historical events, the writer has always had to cater for their audience. And while the use of prolific adjectives and expletives was regarded as a measure of the author's knowledge and ability in their craft hundreds of years ago, today anything that is written in complex measure is regarded as verbose communication. Councils throughout the country, for example, are addressing just how to ditch the jargon in favour of good, plain English.
