The peak time for bed-based social networking is 9.45pm, with 18% of those online admitting to accessing Twitter at that time. Britons also spend an average of nine minutes per night sending text messages to friends and family. More than a quarter of us do our supermarket shop in bed, while 10% pay bills online from under the duvet.
