Using Word To Write Great Letters

The first step when writing letters is to consider the recipient. What kind of letter are you writing? Is it a formal letter to a business person or a casual letter to a friend? The type of letter you are writing will affect the style, the layout and the content. You would not write a personal letter to a business associate for example without looking extremely unprofessional. This is important to decide on the way you need to get the message of your letter across. If you are a lawyer writing to a client about a legal topic then using a letter full of legal jargon without an explanation will be confusing and the letter will not be understood making it pointless. If you are a lawyer writing to another lawyer then the legal jargon would be appropriate.
