Growing With Microsoft Office As It Leaves Behind Its Teenage Years

Microsoft Office is not the only suite of desktop applications in the market; it has many rivals, particularly with the recent (and free) launch of openoffice.org. Yet a report (June 2009) by Forrester Research has shown that some 80% of offices favour the Microsoft suite in providing the software for administering their enterprises. This extraordinarily dominant position spreads across both PCs and Macs, and may seem to have been around forever.
